The Summer Sun...

Sun Smiling...

Today the suns summer rays brings
a bright smile to my face,

I feel the warmth of Gods good grace
and understand that time is not to waste,

As I embark on my day,I first pray
and give thanks to the Lord for this beautiful
day and his warm embrace,

With that being said "I just wish it was the Cali
sun that was giving me this hug, I am in Colorado
where the sun is referred to be smug,

The Coloradans love their Rocky Mountains,
and I don't blame them but I love my Cali sun,
I find all my fun in the sun, beaches and babes,
not necessarily in the Denver haze,

But today the sun is smiling and I'm a mile
closer I feel it's heat and am taken aback by
this Colorado treat,

So as of now I will join the radiant sun in it's
smiling, shinning, beauty but I will day dream
of Cali and the beach, later today, tomorrow and
everyday until my return, I long to be where my
heart truly belongs...

Hello James, awesome write my friend, CO vs CA both beautiful respectively.. mile high vs so cal, city walk vs 16th st Mall, the sun might be closer in the Rockies, but it always sets in beaches of cali, this write shows where your heart really is,, thanks for sharing.

smug sun in colorado...ah yes...so more cool weather there...more of a crisp, autumn feel, even in summer?

i like the appreciation of warmth and beauty in this...appreciating nature and our surroundings...there is not enough of that...
