Wilted Rose...

Wilted Rose...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Not so beautiful anymore...

"
Wilted Rose...

The rose I consider the most beautiful flower on the planet
and you I consider to be the crimson red rose of all women,

When I first laid eyes on my first rose the sight and aroma
of this gorgeous flower did something to me physically, mentally
and emotionally,

To this day I still can't completely explain the effects it has had
on me but I am for certain that I enjoyed the feelings that came
forth and know that it screams beauty in countless ways without
saying a word, in a sense " I ♡ this amazing flower "

When I first laid eyes on you and smelt the sweet aroma that
came from your beautiful body, I again experienced similar
effects that the rose had on me upon our first meeting, but obviously
to a stronger and real connection,

I had always considered you to be my beautiful flawless flower
my rose, full of beauty, sweet aroma, and unique just like every
single rose, authentic in it's own way,

Like my first rose I took you home and gave you the much needed
attention, love, and care to grow and mature, I did my very best to give
you my rose the best possible life I could , knowing one day reluctantly
that eventually my rose would wilt away on me and I would be left alone
with only memories to ponder,

And this is exactly what happened with my relationship with the rose
and I but you and I are a different story, nobody informed me that my
human rose would take all of the love and care that I provided and one
day decide that it wasn't enough for her and leave me,

I was always under the understanding that when a man and women
were married, that was a oath under Gods righteous right hand that
they are joined in holy matrimony till death do they part, or in other
words until my beautiful rose wilted away,

Maybe you were a rose just as I thought but perhaps you weren't the color
I thought, maybe I wanted so bad to see crimson red when in all actuality you were
black from the beginning or maybe just maybe you were always wilted, I really
don't know but I do know with a broken heavy heart that not every rose is as beautiful
as they appear...

i feel your sorrow...i was so very lucky with my husband we met and married 3 days later on his birthday...we fell in lust, as most humans do, but the lust turned into LOVE that lasted 25 years and 10 month to the day, and although he passed i LOVE him still...do not give up your day will come...

So your writing about your past again look towards the exciting future with eyes wide open and the Right Miss may walk past dwelling on the past is a waste of time I done it it hurts too much. And by now you know she really wasn't right it just did not work look toward your future don't think of what you lost but of the new life to be gained Open a window let a good bird fly in sing a new song so you can sing along.

Lost in the past it's not a blast.

So very true I'm seeing this with
my spouse it's sad and heartbreaking
He has a feeling like he's dying inside
I feel sense and see it
and smell it on him but he's
told me he's dying inside :(

This is an amazing poem, your writing always pulls me in and this style of poetry simply makes me want to read more of your poems. It is an excellent view on a rose and how it corresponds with our loved ones in the past.

What an awesome review, thanks for checking it out and b-blessed!
I really did enjoy this...roses are beautiful and velvety soft but petals tend to dance in the breeze and disappear. Nicely done...Rose

Rose has beauty, aroma and colour but also has thorns. A very capturing tale. Well described.

I am for certain that I enjoyed the feelings that came
forth and know that it screams beauty .... What a way to describe!
