Today I must cut ties with all the lies
you've been living in,

I can't pretend any longer,
I must grow stronger and move forward
in my life, without you and the strife,

I have given you the benefit of every single doubt
and every time I'm let down and alone to pout,

You and your lies have completely severed this tie
and I have no more tears to cry,

You have pushed me way to far this time
and I am positive that I don't want you to be mine,
So grab your stuff and get on the grind,

I hope all your lies were worth it
because you and I both know I didn't deserve them,
but they kept coming again and again
and today is the day that it all comes to an end,

I have to do what I have to do and your lies
made me hate you, I'm sick of this misery always blue,

Today I cut ties with you and your lies,
Peace & Goodbye...

I don't think walking away from someone has ever been easy for anyone but there comes a time when the ties must be cut. It takes strength to say goodbye but self worth is often more important than staying in a relationship that is obviously built on shaky ground. Good luck.

Well-said, James... there's no other way to do it, my friend, except sever the ties. Your piece speaks volumes to the numerous break-ups that occur daily, however, it does not lessen the anguish you feel. Great work!
