FIGHT...

Fight for your right to smile, just like you did when you
were a young child,

Fight for your right to be happy
this life is extremely hard and can be crappy,
but if we give up now we're definitely going down
and I don't like the way that sounds,

We must fight on and never give up hope
cause giving up on happiness is a joke,
the last time I checked the things we fight for
always turn out to be the best,

We have to fight for our right to smile,
hard times will eventually fall like Babylon
and our lives will move on,

So put up your dukes and let them fly,
and our smiles and happiness will return
all in due time,

FIGHT
FIGHT
and then fight some more,

We must let this fallen world know that we
refuse to back down and that happiness is
our right and we have it in our sights,

Fight in the name of the Lord,
and I promise our smiles and happiness
will most definitely be restored...

I love the message behind this one, Jamestown. It's so true. I've given up and tried to give up on life so many times. I've attempted suicide at least 3 times and I'm still here. I've learned so much since then. I know now that God saved me because it wasn't my time, and I still had to fulfill my purpose in life and He wasn't letting me go that easy. Now I fight every day, with depression, to stay alive and keep living so that I can be happy and do what God put me on this earth to do. I don't know what that is yet and I don't know what His plan is for me, but I feel like I'm on the right path. Thanks for sharing this Jamestown. Really good, as always :)

I so agree with your idea. We all have the right to fight for our happiness and we should never submit to the opposing forces. I wrote a similar piece Rebel some times back.
At times it is just one person fighting for his rights but that should never be abandoned. Absolutely brilliant :)

Life is not always easy, and happiness is not something that is just given, you have to work on getting it. And not looking for it from things or even other people, you have to find it in yourself. Because in the end you are truly the only person who can make you happy. If you can't do that, then no possession or person will ever be able to do that either.
