Thunder Rolls...

THUNDER: Greek translation means- to "ROAR"

PSALMS: 18:13- the Lord thundered from heaven;
the voice of the most high resounded,
When the thunder rolls, everything & everybody listens
then instinctively reacts,

Birds find safe shelter from the incoming storm,
as do the rabbits hop swiftly to there holes,
even the mighty wolves scamper in fear to there
dens, and us humans find indoor accommodations as
quick as we can, not knowing what the Almighty may
unleash on our borrowed land,

The power and magic that stings the earth which is
his voice "ROARING" is an onomatopoeia that every living
thing respects and even fears, (hence finding cover)


When combined with his breath and electrifying power,
nobody really knows for sure what could happen to our
land or lives, only God knows what the time ahead holds,

So many youngsters will cry as the adults comfort them
and marvel at the pure beauty and power happening in front
of them and others like myself will be in prayer,

When the thunder rolls, I always get crystal clear images of
Revelations 19 running through my head and pray with all
my heart and soul that this be the day the good Lord, opens
the heavens and rides in on his white horse like the KING OF KINGS
that he is and gets the end times rolling,

When the thunder rolls and the lightning strikes,
every living thing understands that something greater then
themselves that has control of that moment of there lives,
and others like myself realize that fact everyday regardless of
thunder and lightning,

God is awesome and I sure do love it when he lets out a
thunderous "ROAR"...

While not a religiously minded person myself, I think this poem is wonderful. The biblical references fit so perfectly and the imagery is outstanding.

And the mention of "ROARING" as onomatopoeia really drive the point home.
