The MESSIAH has risen
on the 3rd day just as prophecy said
but yet the foolish presumed he would remain dead,
They stood by and mocked and a encouraged him to
be slayed, little did they know that the King would rise
the 3rd day,
Our King shed his crimson blood for the worlds sins
and they stood by unaware that GOD always wins,
He completed ancient prophecy down to a tee,
only the son of God could accomplish I pray you can
see and agree,
This was part of God's perfect plan first hand,
read the book of Isaiah and you will start to understand
This had to happen for you and me so we could be free,
foolish man still wants to pick God's perfect plan apart
even know he tells us in his word what will happen from
the start,
Easter is a time to live free and rejoice in our RISEN KING,
and all of his well deserved glory, not to make sense of some
man made story,
So while your kids are searching for eggs a rabbit supposedly
laid, I pray that you will put the nonsense at bay and find a place
in your heart where JESUS can permanently stay,
The King of Kings has risen and we should praise and worship him
for his holy decision, he has conquered the grave so you and I don't
live as a slave to sin, JESUS WINS AGAIN!
I thank GOD for his son and I pray you will be your child's teacher
I Love you WC Happy Easter...
Amen Jamestown! Wonderful piece on how Christ rose from the dead. I never understood the eggs and rabbits theme for Easter, I definitely celebrate the rising. It's still fun to watch kids hunt for eggs, though, even if it has nothing to do with why we celebrate the day. Thank you for sharing :)
Hey JT, Sorry I'm late on reviewing this fantastic piece. We work even on Sundays here in Saudi Arabia,(Weekend is Friday and Saturday) which means there is no Easter service. I really agree with what you have written, the world has forgotten the real meaning of Easter and is going after vain traditions.
May the risen Lord have mercy on us all.
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Romans 4: 24-25

Brother the egg is symbolic of the stone that sealed the tomb but there are many different definitions but mostly Christian in meanings Spring time is symbolic of renewal of the dead life which winter had brought here is an article from Wikipedia: Easter egg

Easter eggs in a basket
Easter eggs, also called Paschal eggs,[1] are decorated eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter or springtime. As such, Easter eggs are common during the season of Eastertide (Easter season). The oldest tradition is to use dyed and painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. Eggs, in general, were a traditional symbol of fertility, and rebirth.[2] In Christianity, for the celebration of Eastertide, Easter eggs symbolize the empty tomb of Jesus:[3][4][5] though an egg appears to be like the stone of a tomb, a bird hatches from it with life; similarly, the Easter egg, for Christians, is a reminder that Jesus rose from the grave, and that those who believe will also experience eternal life.[3][4]
