Love & Hate...

Love & Hate...

I once was a free flowing, outgoing, violent criminal
mind that is now DEAD!

I have caused so much pain and grief in so many lives
and barely even tried from you WC I won't lie or try to hide,

I have unleashed the beast with such ease
that the Romans would have been more
then pleased to see me, for them a treat to see me compete,

I carried hate around in my pocket like several carry
and pass on the HIV disease so ready to deceive,

Grey area in my blue eyes and straight darkness in my heart
when one was unaware I would show up with an unwanted surprise,

This is something I am not one bit proud of but completely ashamed
dwelling in the dark only causes pain,

When I wrote and shared Burnt Soul with WC that was the old me
enduring hates fire at a thousand degrees,

Today I am not the same man I have a new plan when I took Gods
righteous right hand, one day he will judge me and that I completely
understand, and I want to be proud of my new life in Christ I want to
pass on the love sent from above like Jesus has done for me,

In Burnt Soul when I cried out freedom Christ gave me a new life
new sight and darkness died in me,

I am fully aware of the battle that every man struggles with
good & evil, love & hate the black & white life or sometimes
caught in the grey, but it is a choice one or the other,

Which one will you choose today?
I thank God I found my way, darkness is dead in me
for you I guess we'll see but until then
for you I will pray...

People can change, even from the deepest pools of hell we can return. With faith, love and hope we shall prevail. Thank you for sharing these feelings, James. :) Rudi

Man this is a beautiful piece my friend. There was so much detail, so much passion in these words and also so much truth. We all get the chance to make our own choices, God allows us that. They aren't always right, now always wrong but He forgives when was ask for forgiveness and allows us to find the right path. I am glad you found it my friend!

PTL! You are so right! Thanks for checking it out and b-blessed!
Choice is very accurate Jamestown When our Lord was crucified there were a malefactor on each side of him.Since Christ was between and blocks the path between them.We have to choose which malefactor we want to follow. One was repentant and Jesus forgave him and told him that he would be in paradise with him that day.The other was smug and arrogant and didn't repent yet wanted saved anyway. So which malefactor are we the repentant one that held himself accountable or the arrogant one that refuses to be accountable for his actions.Because we are all malefactors because nobody is without sin in there lives

A very positive transition from a man full of ego-driven hatred to a man of calm and loving wisdom. We live and we learn. We experience and we grow. You have grown and you keep on growing. Kudos to that!

wow, this was not only a fantastic write but so open and honest. It is never too late to undo our wrong. I do not believe we are measured by our mistakes or how we fall but how we get up and rise out of them. thank you for sharing james!
