Lovely poem, dear JT! It made my day better :) I like your description of the journey the caterpillar (and humans) must venture before being able to fly through life - whilst acknowledging the labour that will have to be done, its emphasis is a positive, hopeful one. I enjoyed reading it, thank you for sharing this!

I feel Spring in a new line budding
every time I read that
if that is good enough
I'm still hanging yet on a wing from
the blue-green leaf of a great poem

the thoughts with-in counts some-place and you might know it like all of God's odd fellow poets
wow, this was a fantastic write. So symbolic. The caterpillar going through its life to gain its wing just as us humans go though our life to then gain ours, loved this. As always it flows effortlessly! Well done James.

Thanks for checking it out and can't wait to see what it inspired, PTL!
This is wonderful. I'm not a girl who is interested in butterflies, but this actually kept my focus and made me want to fly with them, and see what they see. Bravo for that, it was definitely the writing which made me feel that way. I felt the innocence and joy while reading and thinking about finally being able to fly higher than the trees, and feeling the breeze under my wings!
The message behind this is absolutely wonderful. I've never seen anyone compare our lives, the lives of humans, to that of a butterfly before, but you do it so gracefully that I can't believe I've never thought of it that way before. I commend you for your wonderfully creative and original take on the comparison of a butterfly's life to a human being's. Thank you so much for sharing this. I can't wait to read more by you. :)

lovely poem James, where i live the caterpillars congregate into a huge mound possibly 3 or 4 hundred all on top of each other, i don't know why but imagine if they all become butterflies at the same time, what a sight it would be to see them fly up into the air, I wonder if they do that as far as i know no one has so i guess they just separate and move on when the time comes, just thought i'd share that, great write my friend :)

A rebirth is a beautiful thing, you can turn something ugly into something beautiful. And is essentially what happens when we are saved. :)
A great poem and message James!
