Life's Problems...

You know the deal, life always throwing something at me
always something to distract me,

If it's not one thing it's another
I understand how people's minds get stuck
in the gutter,

But I'm not like other people you see
being knocked of my horse is drag
but giving up is not okay with me,

Quitting NEVER, I'll figure these problems out
I know I'm clever,

It would have to be death for me to call it quits
I'll do anything to prevail that life permits,
Whatever I have to do to figure these problems
out no doubt,

No time for standing around of finding a reason to pout
no reason to get angry and shout, time to jump
back on the house and figure this stuff out,

It's not how many times you get knocked down
a measure of a man is how many times you get up
and ride that horse into the sun with your head held
high and your chin up,

So here I go trotting away on my horse dropping
life's problems 1 by 1 of course and if stuff gets
to hot in the kitchen , I'll ask God for help I know
he's always listen...

Not just men James but women too. We also have troubles to overcome, black marks in our pasts we wish to forget and wash away. Admitting it is hard sometimes. No one is perfect, only Jesus. Just be thankful to be washed clean and being a child of God. Kathie

Exactly. Life is hard but God is in control. We have to let go and let God do His work.
A good write indeed.

Amen brother! I see people blaming everything that happens to them on this or that. They put away their faith and curse God when something goes wrong. God trusts us to keep our shields of faith before us and know he is always there.
When I was little, I was made to go to church every Sunday.
Most of the things the pastor preached I could not begin to fathom.
I liked Sunday school and listened intently to all the bible stories.
A little blue bible was gifted to me by the Sunday school teacher.
I loved that little blue book. I tried to read it but did not understand much of it.
The Bible is hard to understand even for some adults. There was a man in that book that I had grown to love because he was very kind. His name was Jesus who always seemed to be helping and healing people. The most appealing thing about Jesus was he did not care if you were poor, sick or any of those things. He didn't care if you were white black yellow or red.

I read that book all the time. I kept thinking it would tell me what to do to when my world got bad but it made no sense. I wrote I love Jesus on the edge of the closed pages because I was a big fan and I really felt love in my heart for him. He seemed like a gentle quite loving soul this "Jesus" they spoke about in my little blue bible.
When my world was crazy or dangerous I would hide in the closet with my little bible full of things I didn’t understand. I was taught in Sunday school how to pray. When things got rough I’d clutch that little bible tight and I’d pray. I’d pray to be anywhere else but there. Sometimes, when my mom was still alive, I would go up to my older sisters room where she was listening to records with the volume turned way up. She did it to drown out the fighting. Music was her religion. My sister taught me to use music to escape. I developed a lifelong relationship with music that has served me well over the years. I had all I needed to survive, my music and my bible.
