I DARE YOU...

I DARE YOU, to live right in God's sight
to try everyday with all your might to do
what you know to be right,

I DARE YOU, to do the right thing
just because it's the right thing to do
You have absolutely nothing to prove,

Let the haters hate, that should be something
you already anticipated, when is a hater ever
late to hate, that's the only thing in life they do
that's considered great,

I DARE YOU, to be a leader and not a follower
because our leaders are no longer leaders
there a just a bunch of wallowers,

I DARE YOU, to become someone's light,
because the lights are going out and causing
people to fright, I'm praying we can rescue them
from the dark and be there spark,
to reignite the light and give people clear sight,

Please jump on board and help save the broken
we're running out of time, I'm not even joking
We need to help our fellow man, let's give them a hand,
I promise you this follows God's perfect plan,

I DARE YOU!!!

I really liked this, and the rhyming made it more intense, almost like an inspiration speech before going off into battle, which many people don't know that we're living in, so thank you for that, this speaks truth, and the answer to what we have to do.

Fantastic job JT. Doing the right thing is not cool anymore, people are becoming more and more selfish and self indulgent. We always turn a blind eye towards the pain and suffering that others in the world are going through, we have forgotten that God has called us for a mission and that is to love the world, and to be the light of the world. I absolutely loved the message that you delivered through this poem, the world needs more people like you to remind them them that they have gone astray.

It has been quite a long time (2 weeks I guess) since I have sat down quietly in front of the computer. It is such an enlightenment to see your poem in my busy days! A very powerful write indeed!

As the chairman of the Science Society at school, I was nominated to be a leader for quite a few competitions. I have always been in doubt of my ability. I am afraid that I will be the wallower you mentioned and fail to lead my team to success. It is a real wake-up call that the ones behind me rely on my ability and I do need to be a good leader.

I have also been quite absorbed in my own studies, for instance writing and doing experiments, and I often neglected my duties to the students. "Please jump on board and help save the broken", I cannot agree more. There are people out there eager to learn more about science and this world. I can't just abandon my job and be selfish.

Thank you very much for the writing. It shakes burden off my shoulders and remind me of my true duty, to "step up to the plate, before we run out of time and it's too late".
