in college, when we got wasted and you fell down,
the dorm stairwell and banged your head really bad,

Or are you, talking about that old 1985 sleazy,
porno movie you still have stuck in that outdated,
VHS in your garage,

Well it's gotta be one of the two,
because these two sonorous,
make more sense then the, BIG BANG!

That's interesting but not that stimulating. An artist must be open for all possibilities to listen small details with open arms even though it's a bullshit. Without that, your writing can be narrowed and limited like you are still in a box of your own which no one want to hear. Or you need to at least explain and try to understand your readers with your own voice.

bit harsh i'd say - knowing your usual subject matter James I had to read on to see exactly what your thoughts were here - so for you as an artist I did already have an inkling of just what I was in for - disapoint me you did not ;)

One of the greatest and funniest tv-series in my opinion. But I know you're referring to the creation of our world. I don't know how if the goal of this poem is to start a conversation about this theme. I'm not a practicing religious man, but I believe in God...and his creations. On the other hand, I don't literally believe what is written in the Bible. People in those times used another sort of language, they told parables to make something clear. It's a theological discussion that could lead us very far. But I like the manner you give the reader to think about it. :) Rudi

I like the conversational set up! It made me smile - going from a question of how the world came into being to banging one's head and porn movies.
Interesting experience for me! I have heard people from the 'opposite team' say similar things about the bible or God, but never the other way around! To me that just exemplify how different geographical and social settings help to form our understanding of the world. In Denmark people are not very religious, though some atheists advocate so strongly that it actually becomes a practice of religious atheism - without even noticing, quite ironic. Anyway, it made think :)
