I have long thought on this idea and cannot understand it. However if I were the creator I would not permit it . No good man wants to be feared. Followed maybe admired maybe But never feared. The same would be true of Love. One cannot demand love or take it by threat of Hell or promise of Heaven .Love in and of itself can only be given freely never taken. However I do think the Lord would rather we loved one another. That said I respect your beliefs. You are certainly a fine decent man. And my friend.
Love is the only trait that is worth remembering because it is meant to be given away selflessly. The recipient is as happy to receive it as you were to give it!

You are most welcome and one of the finest men ive met here
Indeed my friend. But our "fear" need not be that He will harm us. Our"fear" is to respect and honor Him for who He is. Grace...the unmerited favor of God to His children, takes care of the negative form of fear eh? I know you know that. ~Sharon
This poem has such beautiful flow! read slowly, with conviction, this is a true reverence to the power of god. ( please correct my use of reverence if i used it incorrectly :D )

Thanks for checking it out and your kind review, b-blessed!
Fear is a strange thing... What triggers it is sometimes individual and sometimes a reflection of a social setting. I respect your belief and religion. Though, for me the last line would be 'I fear myself'. I do not know you, but I suspect from the things you write that part of your fear in God is at times a reflection of fear of yourself? This is of course just an interpretation from your poems - of course poems are fragments of us and we are more than our poems!
Anyway, it made me think! Thanks for sharing :)
