It Is Finished...

It Is Finished...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Last words...

"
It Is Finished...

The last words my King said before his heaven accent,
words that everyone should understand and represent,

It is finished,
Satan has lost and been diminished,

God always wins,
before the war even begins,

But Satan is a must for now,
God has allowed him to borrow the earth crown,

But don't frown,
his time is almost up and the prince of the air,
will be cast down,

To depths of the earth and eternal fire,
to sulk in his own muck and mire,

It must be so frustrating to fight a war that you have
already lost, but Satan will keep at it until he gets tossed,

So repent while you can, the time is near,
for God to make Satan and his demons disappear,

Jesus wants his crown back,
cause he is the boss,

Hey dummies, " It Is Finished "
Don't you remember, that's what Christ said
at the cross... John 19:30...

Wow! Great work, I love it! A very clear picture of the "Christian war" (good vs evil, God vs Satan) I do enjoy it! "It must be so frustrating to fight a war that you have already lost" Priceless! I believe this could be Interpreted from Religion into Germany vs the World in WWII, just my thoughts though. Keep up the great work.

As a work of art, this poem must be admired. I myself am no poet by my own admission, but I can appreciate the thought that was clearly put into this one. It is encouraging to have faith in good ultimately winning out over the ways of evil. :)

You are so kind and I appreciate your review, thanks for checking it out and b-blessed!
This is incredibly encouraging and inspiring, especially to fellow Christians. "It Is Finished" holds so much weight. Even though we struggle now we can know that it is already finished, that God has already won. The rhyme scheme works well here and the whole poem flows nicely. I thank you for sharing this.

I liked this a lot. Thank you for suggesting this for me to read. I like how you ended this but it doesn't really seem to fit in with the rest of the poem. I'm mainly talking about the "Hey dummies" part. I understand why you said it, however, it seems out of place with the rest of the piece. I love the message, though, and love your writing. I like how you fit in the quote at the end and the overall structure of this piece. I may have to read more of your writing :)

:-) I like this poem, speaks of the end of time which is coming, and of the Devil who thinks he has win. Blessings.

Great work and very inspiring! I love the way you reference John 19:30 and love the line "So repent while you can, the time is near, for God to make Satan and his demons disappear." Couldn't have said it any better brother. It's time for everyone to look at their personal relationship with God and build an even stronger bond for he is all!
