Frozen hearts...

Frozen hearts...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Thawing cold hearts!

"
Frozen hearts...

As the snow falls and settles to the frozen tundra,
my mind can't but ponder, if this is what it must be,
like for a cold heart to settle in on a frost bitten world,

As the prince of the air is ever present,
and cascading his chilling persuasion upon,
many at an alarming rate,

The frosting evil is eating people from the,
inside out, one by one, as if snacking on a bag
of chips,

The prince of darkness, is shading the light
with ease and enjoying every minute of it,
Erasing good as fast as, a stealth bomber in
the midst of a tactical strike,

Frozen hearts, are given in to the evil one,
and bringing a tag along with them,

Happiness is turning into sadness,
hope into hate and love is fading quickly,
Satan is bringing out the big guns and trying,
to completely eliminate faith,

I myself will never lose my faith and refuse to,
allow Satan or any of his demons to freeze my heart,

I will always put the armor of God on before leaving my
domain and carry my sword, just in case that cold breeze
shifts in my direction,

I will continue to try to bring warmth to frozen hearts,
and honor God as a soldier of Christ...

Hi James. What an immensely powerful write!! Frozen hearts, so descriptive and encrypted. I love how you describe humanity as cold hearted and I hope there are many more of us who will fight the battle to keep the world safe. I take so much heart from your strength of mind, and I am sure there are many others who do, too!! A great write, a great message and a great warning package with a dynamite punch. Love it, alf

Idk? Good question, thanks for checking it out and your kind review! PTL
It is very tragic for those who have lived with frozen hearts, but am thankful to know that you don't and will never have one. You are too strong and see the world too differently. We all deserve to have strong faith in ourselves and humanity, even though it is not the easiest thing to achieve. Those with frozen hearts fail to see the outside, which is a shame because all the outside around us is beautiful!

Jamestown. I feel this written word as it tugs on the strings of this reader's heart that was frozen at one time. Then before it froze and broke. Nature showed her eyes in a very majestic sunset that brought a tear (s) to my eyes.

Reaching back on that day, this reader was going to end it all with who he was. A note left in the glove compartment to tell all my family and friends why I needed to give-up with the reality of life and see for myself what was on the other side.

Today my spirit rests in his energy of four-seasons of nature's love.

I'm blessed.

Thank you for sharing a wonderful written poem.

A very beautiful read indeed! I always love you're vocabulary and here the title 'Frozen Hearts' itself is really tempting! The poem has really good flow. I love the use of metaphors and personifications! A very divine read :)
