The World's Last Supper...

The World's Last Supper...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Food for thought...

"
The World's Last Supper...

Do you believe that this world is here,
to serve you,

Or are you willing to serve this world,
a five course meal, with a nice fresh napkin,
and a note attached that reads,

" I'm not of this world "

And he, whom dwells in me,
is greater then he whom dwells in
this world...

" Enjoy your supper "

Gee
I'm of this world, but not for long,
I move in time to the corporate song,
and unwittingly,I'm a pawn in play,
and will this way be ,'till my dying day.

You my friend are most welcome
I agree with moonskittles on this one. Great job. I like how you took the last supper scene, and used it metaphorically. May the spirit of Jesus bless everyone we meet and never see.

I really love how you presented this to all of us. Also love the first line as it makes one think. Without God, we are nothing. God bless you..Valentine

Ahhhhh....love this food for thought.....though, a bit of bitter-sweet reality, for me, is that most of those who should also be "not of this world" are actually building for themselves extremely comfortables kingdoms on this earth.........

This is a great poem about Christs last supper. Jamestown you're truly one of the most fascinated writers I have ever talked to. You are so a doer. Real writers are real doers. And those are the type of people I hang out with. But the big doer in this picture is the big man himself God. God is the ultimate doer in his place.

Doer: meaning someone who is doing something with a purpose in his or her's life.
