Keep Your head up...

Don't get fed up, I'm telling you,
it's a set up, people will not let up,

It's up to you to do what you have to do,
Keep keepin on, just stay strong, the bs wont last long,

Stand tall, keep your head held high,
show that you have some pride,

Don't let anyone see you frown,
they will pounce and take you down,

Never let them see they got the best of you,
otherwise, you are doomed,

Your happiness is in your hands,
don't let anyone spoil your plans,

People will kick a man when he's down,
not help him up, and that just sucks,

So, hold your ground and never back down,
let everyone know that you're not a clown,

If you do this, you will win life's long race,
keep you're head up and shove it in their face...

Awesome inspirational piece. You are exactly right when you say people will kick a man when he is down. Some people feed off that moment and there is nothing better than to show it doesn't affect you. Shove it right back in their face with success. Good work!

Great message you have laid out for this poem James. Keeping my head up high is a good theme. I should let anyone bring me down and I know that I am not a clown. I am an awesome guy with something to prove that he has what it takes to become a writer. I am almost finished with my 9/11 book. So this proves that I am not a clown.

I have been depressed lately so reading uplifting pieces like this is nice.
