Burnt Soul...

Burnt Soul...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Hell Fire...

"
Burnt Soul...

His soul smoldering in an inferno lit life,
flames of sin, ash away unrighteous decisions,

Leaving a crispy soul, to cry black tears of help,
to a GOD, his burnt soul has denied from the beginning of time,

With all bridges completely inflamed,
the scorched soul has no other option but to submit
to his creator and beg for forgiveness of sins,
and help to refurbish his hell fire inner being,

With his knee bent and a melted tongue to confess,
his charred soul, will start his upward assent to repairing,
a lava plagued heart,

With his soul completely embers, he reaches for the heavens
and yells, " FREEDOM " and for the first time in his hell bound life,
he feels just that...

this is good. Your word choice creates good, clear imagery here. I will say I am more fond of sweet sounds, but to every side there is an opposite, so I do appreciate this for what it is. God Bless!

Wow man, this really spoke to me. Being brought up in a strict Christian house-hold and secretly being gay.

"Leaving a crispy soul, to cry black tears of help,
to a GOD, his burnt soul has denied from the beginning of time,"

It's amazing how people can establish such different connections with poetry but that stanza was incredible for me to read. It provoked a lot of emotion. Excellent job.

Phenomenal poem. This is one of those pieces that you feel the author wrote about you. I am a walking pile of ashes, and am finding that freedom more and more each day. I love the imagery... "with his knee bent and melted tongue to confess"... gave me goosebumps brother. Respect. PTL!

Praise Jesus! Thanks for checking it out and FEAR THE LORD!
This was amazing!! I myself am not religious and am passive towards the subject, but this actually made me think and evaluate my thoughts on the subject. Marvelous work.
