Valentine's Day Cry...

Longing for love...

Valentine's Day, a wonderful day of joy, love and lust,
Unfortunately for me, just a big bust,
Tears of a longing love, flooding my heart,
it wasn't always like this, I have to restart,
She said "I need to be free"
I felt crushed and very deceived,
After 15 years of pure love,
my wife flew away, just like a dove,
Now all I can do is watch loving couples enjoy this romantic day,
as I sit around humbly broken and pray,
I ask God to please send me the woman of my dreams,
and assure him, I'll do anything by all means,
I look to the sky and let out a violent, Valentine's Day cry,
and plead to have that special someone to love,
hoping he will send her from above,
I know my angel is out there searching for me,
I just wonder where she could be,
All in God's time our hearts will unite,
and when they do, I will hold on tight,
Then I let out a huge sigh ,
and one last Valentine's Day cry...

I don't know if this is a real life experience, but I am sorry your wife left you. It must be painful when you've shared almost two decades with her and suddenly she leaves and you must unattach yourself from the roots you have grown with that person. It is never easy. But you are a very strong person and it shows from this pretty little poem. You show hope and optimism in time of desperation. Wonderful things await you no doubt!
