Do this and Do that...

People are always giving opinion...

People and their opinions,
People and their advice,
if you really think about it, much isn't nice,

They will tell you, where to eat, where to sleep, and sometimes
who you should meet,

People, will tell you just about anything,
they'll tell you to do this, or do that,
sometimes it makes for a good laugh, and other time's
it's just downright sad,

I say this, they don't live your life, so why so much darn advice,
have they walked a day in your shoes, to know what you're up to,

Probably not, so if there's something you have been wanting to do, do it,
don't wait till tomorrow, you don't want any regrets or sorrow,

Until these people are paying you're bills, It shouldn't matter where you're
spinning your wheels,
Try enjoying life while it last, it's here for now and then it's past...

Dear Jamestown, I like your poem because a lot of people try to give me advice. If it's good I take it. If it's bad I just move on. I very much like your poem because it true and almost humorous. I snickered when I heard it read to me. People can mean well, but like you said they haven't walked in your shoes...or in my case....rolled in your wheelchair! How true this is. People like to pigeon hole others. They think they can tell them what to do, how to do it, and when. Being your own person and following your own thoughts is the way to go. Indeed, life is too short to allow someone else to live it for you. Lydi**

I loved this piece!
Such a great topic to write about, so insightful, and im sure allot of people can relate. I know I can.
I have been dying to meet a friend actually been online mates for about five years, about time we meet in person right?
But as you say there's people telling you what to do, in this case my jealous boyfriend, has stopped me all these years.
So talked to him last night on the phone, hes not happy about it but he is going to let me meet my friend.
Sometimes even though it hurts people, you have to do what makes YOU happy.
Other people have to trust in you. Trust that you know what you are doing, and trust that you have made the right decision.
So this piece spoke to me I guess.
By the way rhyming scheme was just amazing to, doesn't feel forced. Your rhyming comes naturally.

Oh, people are just busy bodies! This is a great write about the ones who think they know how to live your life better than you do - but, they're always wrong! Then there are the ones who want to control everything and everyone and don't give a rat's a*s about what it might do to your life. There seem to be a lot of those people around nowadays.
