Do this and Do that...

People are always giving opinion...

People and their opinions,
People and their advice,
if you really think about it, much isn't nice,

They will tell you, where to eat, where to sleep, and sometimes
who you should meet,

People, will tell you just about anything,
they'll tell you to do this, or do that,
sometimes it makes for a good laugh, and other time's
it's just downright sad,

I say this, they don't live your life, so why so much darn advice,
have they walked a day in your shoes, to know what you're up to,

Probably not, so if there's something you have been wanting to do, do it,
don't wait till tomorrow, you don't want any regrets or sorrow,

Until these people are paying you're bills, It shouldn't matter where you're
spinning your wheels,
Try enjoying life while it last, it's here for now and then it's past...

Jamestown, Often people who can't figure out how to solve their own problems think that trying to change others will be a good substitute. Of course that's not true but it's a bizarre course of human nature for some. You can dislike everything that they say, but at the same time defend, to the death, their right to say them. Then let it go. I know, easier said than done. And I just now realized that I told you what to do right THERE. I should practice what I preach. 8^) take care...dan

and one of the worst things people do is say "you need to do this" or "you should do such and such"

always my first thought is "i don't need to do a damn thing except live my life as i see fit"

I totally agree, but I must admit I too am guilty. I have to remember that people are just trying to help sometimes
on the other hand many think they know everything, ha ha

Enjoyed your quite understandable, somewhat justified, poetic rant.
When I was your age, I, too, was tired of people "telling me what to do."

this reminded me of song lyrics.. but maybe it is just your natural rhythm.. it flows well.. seems we are very good at directing others.. but I find it takes a lot of energy just to keep my own path clear.. I wonder at those who seem to have time to direct traffic..
