Threw It Away...

Threw It Away...

A Poem by Jamestown
"

Past relationship...

"
We had everything most people want,
house, kids, cars, money, and more, but I had no idea
what you had in store,

You threw it away,
Believing that you deserved more, you followed what you felt suit,
and shocked your family, leaving me stuck scrambling,

This selfish act, will forevermore change our children's lives,
I will always remember those heart felt cries,

The last thing they expected, was us being apart,
I often wonder, if you even thought about they're heart's,

With so many kids being raised in broken homes,
I thought you wanted a family to stay strong, when life threw stones,
No, you threw it away,

I'm not trying to make you feel attacked,
I just thought, we were on the same track,

While our relationship lasted, it was a trill,
I just don't understand, and I probably never will,

I do forgive you, and will never throw my love for you away,
it's here to stay, I know, I'll find my way,

But, I want you to know if you or the kids need anything at all,
I will always love you, just give me a call...

Raw and gritty.. I love it how you don't try to fluff any aspect.

Thanks, I appreciate it
I imagine you speak for many in this piece or more so, many can relate. Relationships are one of the hardest things to survive and sadly it is the children who suffer greatly.

You really got the emotion across in this poem. Great stuff.
