Book of Me

Book of Me

A Poem by James

I began with a blank slate
volumes filled while becoming a man
As I grow
the novel expands
steering me towards an unknown fate

I create my own destiny
blind and clumsy though I may be
I look to the pages of the past
hoping to perceive
where this book may lead
