Advice

Advice

A Poem by James

Say hello to the precipice
it's yawning for you
I say don't step back
but of course you do
What do you have to say for yourself
Now that you've slipped off the shelf

An inarticulate scream is all I hear
as I rush in the door
Muttering that you should hold advice more dear
I catch you before you hit the floor

Take heed
listen not only to you
breathe in others sweet perfumes

Now take
this advice with you
and use it as currency to buy a clue
