Along The Milky WayA Poem by James WhitefallA poem I wrote during an early morning. Across the Galaxy, A familiar place, Where a species, Homo sapiens, Were gifted with the greatest progression, Believe they rule the world. Homo sapiens, Their buildings, Their skyscrapers stand tall, As a testament to their dominance, And they, as a group, not as a civilization, They stand tall and proclaim ownership of the earth. But men, Some think they are taller than others, Some feel their right is to reign over man like a God, Make demands of a world, that on the surface seems to bend to their
will, But upon further inspection, It’s just around as the planet spins, Just waiting for their fall. One night, When the stars align, When the moment is just right, They will have awakened something, Something fierce and unexpected, Against men who control, This day will be The First Day. © 2016 James WhitefallAuthor's Note
