WhoaA Poem by James WellsWritingI've been trying hard to write, but the words won't come out. I'm slowly breaking, contemplating how the words all break down, whoa. I see you smile slightly lost, and I'm wondering how Such an angel found her way to the place I hang out, whoa. I hear your laugh and I think, well this is a change. For some reason with you here I don't feel so strange, whoa. I know a chorus would be a nice, but i'm feeling this beat The way you make me feel I wanna shout in the street, whoa. I know there's better music but I don't really care 'Cause I know that you'll be listening as my voice fills the air, whoa. I know you think I'm silly, and that's all alright. For you I'd play the fool for the rest of my life, whoa. If you're with me let me know 'cause I'm dying to hear That together you and I will face all of our fears, whoa. From the concerts and the shows, all the baseball games Since you walked into my life thing's just ain't been the same, whoa. My singing's not great, my writing's insecure But I'm telling you all my intentions are pure, whoa. I'll wrap this up soon, I just need a sec I'm trying to explain, trying to do my best, whoa. I know I sound cliche in every way I said I'm struggling putting the words on the page, whoa. You came and showed me a different path, I'll keep singing 'til I find a way to give back that, whoa.
