Love Scorned

Love Scorned

A Poem by James Wells

I say we dance under the moonlight
Until we get the moves just right
'Cause I've been thinking and dreaming, and hoping and singing of you.
So come out onto the patio
We'll glide across the barrio
The hopes and the fears, collective tears won't matter it's true.
'Cause I'm running for miles
I'm losing my style
For a record breaking, earth quaking, love scorned empty soul.
Take me to the queens castle
I'll lay on the line in battle
A sword or a spear cannot harm my darling tonight
Place my body in the foyer
And let my love show her
A light will guide her through the fire of lust.
'Cause I'm running for miles
I'm losing my style
For a record breaking, earth quaking, love scorned empty soul.
And I, I would give you everything.
Stretched across this land.
Tonight, this makeshift diamond ring.
Asking for your hand, I'm making my stand.
So remember the way my eye shined.
Remember the sweet goodbye.
And know one day I'll make it home.

I'm just looking to keep people entertained. It's important to me that I do as much as I can to give hope to the hopeless. We need it the most. But I also do say some comedic things occasionally, b.. more..
