Human Anatomy and Physiology

Human Anatomy and Physiology

A Poem by James Wells

Well God damn
I'd write another song for a girl.
And you'd take it in your veins.
A clumsy heroin for my heroine
I'd let my words go to waste.
The diamonds in your eyes
Tell a story of a time long gone tonight.
And I'll be waiting for your call, waiting for the fall
The leaves would burn, a phoenix I'd return.

It's not always love and laughter for the happy ever after
It's venom and toxic poisons, for the one who is chosen
It's not always cutesy little letters, or something that is better.
It's paragraphs and melodies, chained up quick catastrophes.

I'd let this parasite eat me from inside
If it were a ticket to your eyes.
And you'd leave this illness on my carcass
Reminding me I'm heartless all the time
That's why I latched onto your lungs
I'd climb and climb the rungs
And nestle myself deep inside your heart.

It's not always love and laughter for the happy ever after
It's venom and toxic poisons, for the one who is chosen
It's not always cutesy little letters, or something that is better.
It's paragraphs and melodies, chained up quick catastrophes.

About
I'm just looking to keep people entertained. It's important to me that I do as much as I can to give hope to the hopeless. We need it the most. But I also do say some comedic things occasionally, b.. more..
