Come Home

Come Home

A Poem by James Wells

Where do you go when the music's so slow.
And it doesn't bring that calming feeling.
When eating becomes a challenge,
Like trying to stop the world from turning.
Where do you go when life passes by.
And you run out of time.

Come home, it's where we are.
Come home, lay in my arms.
Come back, it's never been easy.
Come home, this doesn't have to be hard.

What do you say when the words don't work.
What do you do when the sky won't shine.
What do you think we could do to fix that.
What could I do to make you mine.
I know that the world will keep moving.
But I'm hoping I'll find you nearby.

Come home, it's where we are.
Come home, lay in my arms.
Come back, it's never been easy.
Come home, this doesn't have to be hard.

What could I do when the song stops playing.
Could I loan you the melody to hold onto.
What could I say if my heart stops beating.
Could you loan me some love to get me through.

I know that the world will keep moving.
But I don't want to move without you.

I'm just looking to keep people entertained. It's important to me that I do as much as I can to give hope to the hopeless. We need it the most. But I also do say some comedic things occasionally, b.. more..
