Heavenly Dream

What a beautiful dream

I had last night,
I saw a beautiful light,

one that shined so bright.

Upon entering this light

I saw these pearly gates,
Then I heard Saint Peter say 
"why do you wait"? 

"Go ahead you may enter into

the city of eternal bliss,
Because of your love for God

you have been giving these gifts".

As I walked on I could see

many fields filled with clover,
I heard Angels singing "Hallelujah"
over and over.

It was the place called Heaven,
Jesus went away to prepare,
I saw many great mansions
that were way beyond compare.

There were streets throughout

that were paved of pure gold,
Right before my very eyes

I saw God's beauty unfold.

There were these beautiful rivers
that were gently flowing,
There were these subtle breezes

that were gently blowing.

As I looked on around

I saw fields filled with flowers,
And all these wondrous things

that God said was ours. 

Then walked over this man,

His face was radiant as the sun,
He said "welcome my child,

your job well done".

Then He said to me

"now we become as one",
"A crown of life,

you have now won".

He reached out for me

and took me by the hand,
We walked around forever

throughout the Promise Land.

It was so beautiful,

one could never have dreamed,
He said"you can only receive this

if you have been Redeemed".

My heart was over filled

with so much joy and laughter,
While I laid there dreaming

of that Glorious, happy ever after.
