MasksA Poem by James SnaithWe all wear them, how honest are you with yourself about that? The words we weave to hide our faces, Masks of many hues. They hide the truth beneath the skin, And allow us to face the world untrue. I wear a mask to deal with Light, And in Darkness I wear another. My many Masks hide the truth, I know not what’s deep inside. But I need my Mask so I can live, And I need it so I can survive. © 2020 James Snaith |
