Masks

Masks

A Poem by James Snaith
"

We all wear them, how honest are you with yourself about that?

"

The words we weave to hide our faces,

Masks of many hues.

They hide the truth beneath the skin,

And allow us to face the world untrue.

I wear a mask to deal with Light,

And in Darkness I wear another.

My many Masks hide the truth,

I know not what’s deep inside.

But I need my Mask so I can live,

And I need it so I can survive.
