Wadded-Up Poem
A Poem by
James
"It was a good poem," the poet said to his poet friend. "I think it's your best work yet." The poet offered a smirk as he watched his wadded-up poem float away. "It doesn't matter, no one would have read it anyway."

The feeling I get from this is one I can totally understand and relate too. How can we learn if there is no feedback?

That is one reason we are here. Poetry sites have been slow all over.
A very subtle nudge for every reader who writes too; automatically makes them question their own motives for writing. Like asking someone to not think of an elephant.
Nicely done James.

Exactly, thanks.
in some ways it doesn't matter because we write for ourselves, on the other hand it does feel good to share and have others relate to you

Whiskey it is then... :)
Interesting. That's a very important distinction. Do we write for the joy, the outlet, the self expression, or to be read, understood, felt?
