beautifully written....i was somehow able to talk to my father today...at the assisted living facility...he usually can't talk on the phone at all..he heard a little...he is 97---

we are lucky for as long as we can have our parents...my mom passed two years ago.

i love the second line of this poem...so many meanings come to mind.

I was only six when my Dad died, so I really envy the time you had...it really is precious, as is the time we have with our siblings.

You pay good attention to detail, "reflecting on polished wood"...I liked that!

He died on Halloween night but wasn't buried until the next week.
