A bullfrog and a toad

were sitting on the same bank.

The bullfrog says, 

"look at me, all shiny and green.  

people love me,

they write poems about me,

put me in stories, and love seeing me.

They always say how cute I am."

The toad looked down and said,

"They think I give them warts."

This reminds me of some writers on this website (as well as everyday people just anywhere) . . . some are all full of themselves & only seeing & remembering the accolades, all about garnering praise & showing off . . . while some are barely hanging on to the fringes of life & their spirit easily submerged by each critical glance/remark. I didn't know there was a difference between bullfrogs & toads, by the way *smile*

This is good James. Two very similar creatures but they have a completely different outlook on how they're perceived. It's a sad reality - maybe someday they will both realize they are one and the same :)

damn I coulda sworn I'd left a review. cos I've read it yesterday. ah well, not getting any younger.

this is a funny little one with probably some truth in it.
you know for me, a frog is a frog, whichever way you look at it. ugly as sin.
I see that barleygirl went much deeper in her analysis and that makes my review quite shallow, right?
