Hotel Living

Hotel Living

A Poem by James
"

Just a fun little piece about my night.

"
Hotel living
Just one night,
Forgot my Charger
I'll be alright.

Cheesesteak sandwich
From a local dive.
Flat fountain coke,
Cold stale fry

Back in my room
Guess I'll watch T.V.
But the couple next door
Won't let "IT" be.

Is it too much to ask
For a little peaceful quiet.
Just a few hours sleep
Why do I fight it?

In the morning I know
I'll check out again.
Continental breakfast
Before I begin.

Then off to the next
Location, I drive.
Another hotel
Another dive.

'Hotel Living'
James,
So many do transportation-truck drivers or are sales representatives. They know all about driving-flying and being on the road. To friends and work associates it may seem glamorous but it is not home. As the saying goes: "A stranger in a strange land." This had some good little images to show some things which are out of one's control- stale coke, noisy or unhappy neighbors, not being able to sleep.

I like this! Just got back from an overnight stay and I can relate. You did a great job capturing a snippet of life. :)
