Will You..?

Make it your own story,

I am like a switch, going on and off. 

Like the ocean, coming in and out.

Bare with me, i'll stay forever.

Don't give up, either will I. 

My sickness, is incurable. 

Everyday, it kills me more. 

If you tried, It would slow down.

Even that, would be worth it.

My fear is, your like the rest.
You wont try, but just give up.

I almost think of the question as "will you marry me?" This poem precisely captures a common fear among single young people. Good job James! :)

A very sombre and tired feel to this short but poignant piece James. Two minor amendments to consider:
'Don't give up, either will I.' To Don't give up, neither will I. And
'My fear is, your like the rest.' To My fear is, you're like the rest.
