Spyglass Treasure

Spyglass Treasure is a story about two siblings, Franklin and Kara, who were on their way to visit their grandparents on Cape Cod when disaster struck. A car accident has left them without their parents. They go to live with their grandparents and Franklin begins a new hobby, metal detecting, after trying his grandfathers and enjoying the experience. One day while detecting on the beach he unearths a small leather pouch. Inside he finds an old spyglass with an engraving on it, the name of a ship. Through his own research he finds the ship is a pirate ship and there is rumor of treasure centuries old. As Franklin follows the clues that are left behind he also uncovers a secret about the heir to the treasure, a relative of the pirate captain. Will Franklin uncover the mystery and find the treasure, is there hidden dangers that will prevent Franklin from his quest?
