Broken

Broken

A Poem by JP thinks the WC is aptly named

Sucking the bone marrow out of life

Is not without injury, not without pain

It poisons the blood

Goes straight to the heart

These conventions of ours that say

Don’t do this too much; don’t do that too much -

Too much of anything will make you sick

Make you wish you’d never been born

What though if doing too much

Is what really feels like living?

And to really live

You must surrender

Your heart

Your very flesh

And the bones within?
