Seek the Wind

Seek the Wind

A Poem by James Mayfield
"

A favorite of mine.

"

A sweet breeze carresses
The soft cheek of a loved one

A kiss
Light and fresh
Tender as a mothers embrace
Powerful as a fathers word
Holding all the love and meaning
Of a hopeless romantic

A kiss
Speaking louder than words ever could
Healing wounds of a torn soul
Igniting passions of a lonely heart

The breeze moves on
Leaving a longing and sense of loss
And drying a single tear

It is sublime, yearning and soft ... almost like being caught in the centre of a gently breeze over the Atlantic.
