The HouseA Poem by James MayfieldA random thought of my fiance's houseA house stands upon a forgotten lane It's eaves laden with withered forgotten leaves
Alone it stands Its neighbors gone to dust With only the vines and ivy for solace
Once a great house it stood with family and callers All coming to pay heed and respect for its grandeur
Now it has passed away Fodder for those to come as the vines and ivy reclaim it's lost soul
