Baby Daddy

Baby Daddy

A Poem by James Begert
"

Baby Daddy's everywhere.

"
Baby Daddy

Mother of the year
She got a real nice baby daddy
Early morning
Drop baby off before your shift
At daddy's house-
The drug house across the street
The one with the
Trash in the yard,
Trash in the house
I'm watching and laughing -
"You pathetic w***e!", I say to myself.
You knock on the door but theres no answer
I yell out the window
But not loud enough so you can hear me
Just enough to make myself feel better
"Mother of the year!"
"Mother of the year!"
"Baby daddy was out on the porch"
"Till 4 in the morning-him and his homies"
"Drinkin 40s and smokin rock"
"Hootin and hollerin like animals do"
"He's probably sleeping in"
"He's an animal-a real party animal"
"That baby daddy"
"Maybe you should of spread"
"For someone else"
You knock and knock
But there's no answering
Baby daddy is sleepin in
That's what baby daddys do
Another single mother
Baby daddy is sleepin in
