Halfway Happy?

Halfway Happy?

A Poem by J.K.P

What is one to do
When there heart is but luke warm?
When a decision slashes their persona in two
When they don't know if what they did was right?

All I truly wanted
Was to have you by my side
And be mine
I knew of the possibilities
I knew of the beautiful connection
We could potentially share
But,
Am I guided my blind hope
Or is my intuition correct?

While another mysterious
Flower captures my attention
I know not of what could happen
However such a thing intrigues me
so

And now, as I sit here
I wonder why I am merely Halfway Happy
My heart lies between the beautiful known
and a mysterious grace
How am I supposed to feel?
Happy, sad, joyful, disappointed
I suppose only in time
Shall such an answer be revealed
