Irrelevant PastA Poem by J.K.P
Must I really explain to you
The reason for my kind action For I myself do not understand Why I still feel this attraction Every day and every night Though she severed my heart My strong feelings for her Will never be torn apart Some nice gestures I believe Do not require such a reason Its just a cemented fact Like the changing of the season Quick to call me a fool you do Reconciling events past Refueling prior sadness A shadow over me you cast I take that darkness however And turn it into bright light You will never understand Why I still keep her in sight I'm aware it is futile A friend is all I can be I know that there are plenty Of fish in the vast sea Yet you still ask me why This one fish captivated me so Even though having sunk My boat oh so low When will you realize That the past is irrelevant She is still good friend A beautiful swan, so elegant So stop questioning my behavior For her I still do care Even though she may not know it I will always be there © 2010 J.K.PAuthor's Note
