I’m thankful for all the pains I've had in my life,

Thank you for every test that I thought I wouldn’t survive, 

 

I'm thankful for all the girls that led me on then vanished like smoke, 

Thank you for reminding me to never get my hopes up,

 

I’m thankful for all the guys who'd slam my head against the wall,  tease me about my piercings, my hair, my taste in music,

Thank you for making me who I am today,

 

I’m thankful for all the times I said I just wanted to die,

Thank you for teaching me I can survive,

 

I’m thankful for the ones who said they'd always have my back and then turned their back ,

Think you for reminding me to trust no one,

 

I’m thankful for all the people in my past,

Thank you for making me a survivor.
