Ruby

Ruby

A Poem by Edmond Dantes

Ruby
Geisha Goddess
I am plagued
To crawl back to
Again and again
Ruby
I think Im addicted to our love
Is the payment of $200
For two and a half hours
Of your time-
Too much to ask for?
It is a glorious bond, which we do share,
A most heavenly experience-
I dont care.
I know I have a problem
I confided with a friend
He asked me if the sex life was good at home
I told him, it was great.
Must not be so, said he
One doesnt cheat on a beautiful girlfriend whom you live with and say you love
And spend $1000 so far this year, on a Korean Geisha girl named Ruby.
Theres no diamonds in her sky
Other orifices-maybe
He told me it ended as a casual occurrence when you continue to patron the same girl-
Over and over again
I never wanted to cheat on my girlfriend
And I told Ruby this today
When we met Atlantic City, yet again-
For my extended lunch break
There were several things extended this day.
When she walked in the door
She greeted me with a smile
And said my name
Asked me why-such a long time-
And no see?
Ruby you know I have a girlfriend
Ahh-but I do things your girlfriend doesnt do
Thats true, thats true-
I guess thats why Ive come back.
Now get on the table and take off your clothes.

*note: a true story, conveyed by a good friend over drinks one night. The next day when I woke, I had the first couple of lines in my head & just started writing as if I was him! lol. He told me not to tell anyone! hahaha. I'll print it out & let him read it soon enough.

beautiful writing, in my opinion men go to women of the night because there is no emotion involved, no strings attached, over rated masturbation, but then again there are the very lonely souls who want intimacy, just hugs and hopefully good conversation. I love this piece, hope your friend did'nt mind.

i agree with Reika

it is very addictive. It makes me think (again) of the rippingtons..im not sure why..particularly the song "tourists in paradise,"

What got my attention was when I read "Geisha" (for I have a slightly frightening obsession with Asian culture) but what kept my attention was the story. The way you organized the words, to me, it an addictive character to it, you know? :D So I thought that was really cool. This was really interesting to read, especially when I read the little note at the end. To be honest, the ending made me laugh, haha >.<

This was great! =)
