Mind Game

Mind Game

A Poem by Jake Stance
"

They say the mind bends and twists in order to deal with the horrors of life... I think my mind has bent so much it snapped in two.

"
  Cancel out your mind's intentions,
Leave room for a life well lived.
Keep yourself cleansed from sinful thinking,
Make your mind your temple, and your body a tomb.
  Suicide,
Death,
  Murder.
Simplicity at it's best.
  Imprison your needs,
and kill your wants.
  Argue your point,
and get beat down by words.
  Think too little,
And make bad decisions...
  Think too much,
And you're trapped in your mind.
  It takes over,
and you can't stop it.
  And, oh, yes...
You will be scared.
It will be sure of that.
Analyze,
  Examine,
Execute.
  Make yourself useful,
Live as though you're free.
  Keep your mind clear,
It's too late for me.

Deep, heavy poem.
Really thought provoking & the way you wrote it just re-inforced the seriousness & challenging message of the poem.
The emotions it invokes are powerful.
Can't say anything to criticise, it's really good.

Yours truly,

Thats really good. You perfectly potray the fallacy of our mind. This is very well written, and very well executed.
Good Job.
