Tales of a revolutionary

Tales of a revolutionary

A Poem by Jake Staffeld

You've lived your life

The hardest of ways

Grew up in peace

But that wouldnt last

Join the army young

Go off to the war

But you get re routed

And you see the pain

Of the people

So you turn on

Those above you

Lead a different force

They call it rebellion

You call it freedom

As the tolls rise

And now you're old

Lying on your death bed

And charged with

Crimes against humanity

What do you say when you're asked for

The tales of a revolutionary?
