Writing the Unwanted

Writing the Unwanted

A Poem by Miyank

Dear Mom and Dad
If you are reading it I am dead.
Even if I tell you not to, you will cry.

It was too hard for me to write this letter
But it will be harder for you to read this letter.

The pen was too heavy when I was writing this letter
And also because I wished it had never reached you.

Mom and Dad,
Please be proud of your deceased son
Who sacrificed himself for our home.

You must be angry
You must be sad
And I am sorry for that.

Tell my friends that they were the best
Tell my sister to forgive for all our fights
Tell my brother to take my car he always wanted to have.
Tell my love that I am sorry for being late for our date.

I don't know if I am going to heaven or hell
But I will remember my mother's Sunday's special,
I can still feel its taste and smell.

I wished you never read this letter
Mom and Dad take care of my brother and sister.

Mom and Dad,
I wished I could have said it forever
I love you more than you can love me together.

From Your Kid
Who wants you to smile when remembering me
But if you will cry remembering me then forget me forever.

I wish none of the parents receive these letters. Instead I WISH their child return and give them A BIG HUG.
