Leo

Leo

A Poem by Phoenix

He's the one,
My god on earth.
Eyes without pity,
Heart without shame,
Guiltless, blameless,
Thoughtless mirth.
The best within me,
The unlimited worth.
He's my faith,
My heaven-sent,
My deepest truth,
My highest reverence.

Author's Note

Phoenix
This is about a character named Leo from the novel "We the Living" by Ayn Rand. She does an amazing job describing Kira's love for him, similarly to how she does in her other books. I cried like a baby literally for at least an hour after I finished this book, and later had to write a poem. I just now found it and here it is. Several of the words are ones Ayn Rand uses.

About
I have so many ideas and feelings, and they usually buzz around inside me wildly. When I can gather up enough of them, then a piece of writing emerges and I feel refreshed. more..
