What I Couldn't Say Before

What I Couldn't Say Before

A Poem by Phoenix
"

I think I wrote this about a year ago. I didn't post it because I didn't want to admit it.

"

Don’t you know that your kisses

can’t reach me?

You can’t reach me.

Try to fix me.

And you might find what you want to see.

Try to fix me,

then maybe we could just be.

Can’t you see I gave up on my heart?

I put it away, I tore it apart.

You could try to fix me.

I could try to break free.

Can’t you see the tears behind my eyes?

The ones that hide, the ones I despise?

You could try to fix me.

You and me is how I want it to be.

Can’t you see that I’m frightened?

Did you feel my grip as it tightened?

Can’t I see that you care?

Can’t I believe you’re really there?

This is too good to be true.

I can’t feel it, I don’t know what to do.

Try to fix me,

then maybe I could see.

Another cool poem. A bit too many "Try to fix me" lines but who the hell am I? A nobody. So dont take it personal....just thought it needed less thats all.

Well just because someone CAN fix you does not mean that they are RIGHT for you. And just because they cannot does not mean that they are wrong.

I have so many ideas and feelings, and they usually buzz around inside me wildly. When I can gather up enough of them, then a piece of writing emerges and I feel refreshed. more..
