My Questions

My Questions

A Poem by Phoenix
"

This could fit many things

"

Why do you have to be so elusive

Why do you cause so much destruction

Why do you push and pull at our lives

Why do you create all these obstructions?

Whose mind do you grab

Whose heart do you shake

Whose arm do you twist

Whose soul is at stake?

What makes you seize each victim

What makes them fall to your trap

What do some have that protects them

What is it that makes others go slack?

Where does that leave me

Where does that leave us

Where can anyone go

Where do we put our trust?

It's all about love. I like it. I thought that "What is it that makes others go slack?" could have flowed better without the "go", and the who parts so brought to mind that country classic "whose bed have your boots been under", but that is just my sporadic mind making connections of an abstract nature. It is excellently spaced, the flow works well and the ending is so pointed. It is a superb piece of writing.

I have so many ideas and feelings, and they usually buzz around inside me wildly. When I can gather up enough of them, then a piece of writing emerges and I feel refreshed. more..
